According to him, fraudsters have recently been inventing new ways to deceive citizens.
Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov called on city residents not to trust scammers who send out invitations to a personal video conference with the governor. According to Beglov, recently the administration's electronic reception and his VKontakte page have been receiving requests from those who have received such letters, Fontanka writes.
Beglov stressed that only scammers send out such invitations. They use AI technologies to copy voice and image, gain the trust of citizens in order to obtain their personal data or access to accounts. Beglov urged people to ignore such letters and reminded that officials never request personal data or SMS codes by phone or in messengers.
